Supplies Needed:
-Stack of books

Steps to assemble:
  1. Tuck child into bed
  2. Turn on reading light
  3. Read

It has been said reading to a child helps enhance a child's learning including their vocabulary.  There are organization that are dedicated to reading to elementary students.  Volunteers give up their lunch once a week to read to a child during their lunch period.  But reading to a child can also start at home.

Photo Collage

Supplies Needed:
-Stack of Photos
-Scissors
-Tape
-Photo Frame
-Hammer and Nails

Steps to assemble:
  1. Lay the mat within the photo frame on a the floor or table
  2. Take the stack of photos and place them on the mat
  3. Adjust the layout of the photos until desired college is reached
  4. Cut any photos that extend the edge of the mat or excess images in the photo
  5. Tape all photos in the prearranged layout
  6. Hang picture frame on wall

Create Your Own Magnet

Supplies Needed:
-Wood Carving (photos from AC Moore): can be any shape and size as desired
-Ceramic Magnets
-Color Paint: choose desired colors
-Hot glue stick/gun or strong adhesive
-Stickers, Foam, Construction Paper, etc.: anything that can be used as decoration.

Steps to assemble:
  1. Paint the front of the wood carving
  2. Decorate the front of the wood carving
  3. One the back, glue a single ceramic magnet with the glue gun/adhesive
  4. Let dry for one hour
  5. Place on refrigerator or any magnetic surface
